Meditation is such a valuable tool for us to use in our everyday lives.
First lets bust two commonly held mis-conceptions!
- You don’t need to be a Buddhist or have any religious or spiritual beliefs at all.
- You don’t need to sit cross-legged for hours on end (although you can if you want to!)
Meditation can take many forms. True meditation is allowing the mind to completely empty and being in the moment with no thoughts whatsoever. When you reach this state many wonderful things begin to happen. You are able to be an observer of yourself without any judgements. It is this absence of judgement which is truly liberating and allows us to become expansive within our hearts and minds. To begin with these empty moments are few and far between but with practise they become more frequent and enlightening.
At the Complementary Health Care Clinic meditation sessions are a mixture of different techniques using guided creative visualisation, focussed intention, music and sound, soul connection, breathing techniques etc.
A 30 min lunchtime session will leave you feeling relaxed, de-stressed and more able to enjoy the rest of your day.
During a course of 90 min classes you will start to really get to know your inner self. Understand how and why you are you! Gaining an understanding that will enable you to view your life from a different perspective, allowing you to accept yourself just as you are. Once you can accept yourself as you are, you are free to move in any direction you desire.
