Since the age of fourteen I have been a student of Yoga. It has taken me to great teachers in India, Sweden, and Australia. In 1999 I began teaching in Norwich and taught classes, courses, and workshops combining Iyengar and Sivananda styles of Yoga.
After visiting the ashram of Swami Janakananda Saraswati in southern Sweden in 2002 I ceased teaching to concentrate on my personal practice for a time. The same year I became a private student of Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati, the celebrated author and yoga master, In Brisbane, Australia. In 2005 I travelled to the ashram of Swami Satyananda in Bihar, India where I recieved initiation.
To renew my abilities and knowledge as a teacher I undertook a year longteacher training course with Kate Pell in Brisbane which finished in December 2007.
Returning to Norwich in January 2009 I launched The Yoga Tree which combines my passion for Yoga and Conservation. My first book Karma Yoga has been published by Watkins and shows how Yoga can come off the mat and be a valuable part of anyones daily life.
The Yoga Tree also works with local conservation groups to restore our environment.
