I trained as a Hypnotherapist in 1992 & Hypno-Psychotherapist in 2007
I have worked as a Hypnotherapist since 1992 in private practice and in the health service as a fund holding provider to the NHS.
I have experienced the benefits of using hypnosis for nail biting and stress management as a teenager and as later as an adult, during my second pregnancy. I used hypnotherapy and learned self-hypnosis to feel more calm and prepared for birth Using self-hypnosis I achieved a positive, drug-free, active birth which led to my wanting to train in hypnotherapy in order to help other women to have more positive birth experiences. I have been helping women and couples to prepare for birth since 1992.
My Hypnotherapy & Hypno-Psychotherapy trainings were both based on Ericksonian Hypnosis.
My continued professional development is in the areas of health, stress, fertility pregnancy, birth and stress-free parenting.
