Life Coaching

How does it work?

Coaching is a relationship between the coach and the client within which the coach encourages the client to explore his/her goals and dreams. With the coach’s support clients can close the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. The coach’s goal is to help clients release their true potential in a totally supportive and non-judgemental way.

What happens during a treatment?

A coaching session can take place over the telephone or face-to-face and usually takes between 30 and 40 minutes. The session can include the following elements: -

  • Coaching
  • Clarification of your values
  • Brain-storming
  • Exploring plans of action
  • Examining the way you currently live your life
  • Clarifying questions
  • Empowering requests

Sometimes the questions can be gently challenging, but will always be non-directive. You can take the time for deep, reflective thinking knowing that the session is focused totally on you and helping to create the life that you want.

The session should be enjoyable and rewarding and you should always feel fully supported by your coach.

You should ensure that you have minimised the risk of distractions and interruptions (e.g. switch mobile phones off) so that you are able to totally concentrate on the session.

Any other applicable or important information

It is important to remember that all clients are individuals and therefore experience success at different rates. It is not unusual to still be getting benefit from the session long after it has finished! Coaching can be thought provoking and life changing.

How may it affect you after a treatment? – how might you feel, what effects etc

There should be no adverse effects from coaching. You may find yourself thinking deeply about the issues that you discussed during the session and you should feel enthusiastic about any changes/actions that you have decided on.

Testimonials

Everybody has different reasons for the issues that they are facing and different needs/wishes around them. As your coach I can tailor a programme to suit your individual needs, encouraging you to look at the reasons behind your issues and then supporting you as together we work towards creating the life that you desire.

"Judith has been incredibly supportive and given me the space to think through issues. She always listens to what I have to say and is very perceptive in her comments. Her empathy is second to none and she is very intuitive. I would definitely recommend Judith as a coach!" Miss KF

“Before I had coaching with Judith I was very sceptical about it. I felt uneasy talking about private issues and felt it was an unnecessary self-indulgence. I had always coped with painful issues in my life by burying them deep inside. When Judith started coaching me I was really pleased to find that it was non-threatening and it didn't make me feel critical of myself. Instead, it made me question the choices I had made in life, even though those choices weren't making me happy. I really enjoyed the sessions but didn't realise how much it would continue to benefit me even months afterwards. It was a bit like having a really honest conversation with myself! I found Judith to be very encouraging and supportive and I gained a lot of clarity. I would definitely recommend Judith”. Mrs W

“Judith helped me much more than I had expected. She was very supportive and encouraging throughout the session and afterwards. Not only did she help me sort out the issue I was having problems with but I came away from the session with massively increased self-belief and self-confidence. I would definitely recommend Judith as a coach.” Mr L
